VIACOM, MTV
and COMEDY CENTRAL EXPOSED
The Vast Left
Wing Conspiracy
Press Statement
For Immediate Release
It all started innocently enough. I received a call from a producer of a Viacom
produced new show called The Debate Show.
This was supposedly a six-part debate series on serious topics of the
day including, Hollywood Obscenity (the show I was to appear on), NASA, Guns,
Divorce, Obesity and Seniors Driving Licenses, to name a few topics I found on
various websites seeking regular people to come on and debate from their
point of view.
Considering that both MTV and Comedy Central
have aired reasonably serious political content, e.g., The Jon Stewart Show, and Politically Incorrect, and that
this is an election year, one felt safe to assume that, while conservatives who
appeared would most likely be walking into a stacked deck of the Liberals
poker hand, wed get the chance to get our views across and were used to having
panels stacked against us. We appreciated
the opportunity to get a conservative point of view out at all to a younger
audience.
They claim that they didnt want
professional pundits or experts. Well,
no wonder. This show is NOT The Debate Show, as advertised and the name
they use to procure panelists, but Crossballs a newly produced show for Comedy
Central, owned by Viacom and MTV networks, and is a spoof of political debate
shows that seeks to mock conservatives with actors posing as some of the
panelists.
One such real panelist, who thought the show
was going to be a serious debate show, was a conservative activist from
California who prepared to appear on the show to talk about the 2nd
amendment. Jim March, whose account we
have attached, is a 2nd amendment activist and was mocked and ridiculed by a psychologist who said he had
sexual issues and offered him a two month supply of penis enlargement pills if
he gave up his guns.
Nowhere in the material for The Debate
Show and the press releases for the upcoming Crossballs do they make the
connection, or let you in on the joke that the actor panelists debate the
real panelists, complete with props and live feed video designed to mock and
make fun of the real panelists and their conservative views.
There
is no website for The Debate Show, nor is it in on any of the MTV Networks
sites. However, Standing Room Only,
which is now advertising for audience members says: The Debate Show for MTV Networks is an A
spirited new debate show is coming to MTV Networks. Be ready to explore topical issues about
Reality TV, Guns in
However,
a press release issued by Comedy Central states: Shot in front of a studio audience,
"Crossballs" is a smart, comedic spoof of topical debate shows. Comedian Chris Tallman has been cast as
host. Matt Besser ("Upright
Citizens Brigade") and Charlie Siskel ("The Awful Truth") are
executive producers. But on the website
for Crossballs www.crossballs.com,
their
It
appears that we have the smoking gun that ties the two shows together and
exposes the truth.
Viacom,
MTV Networks, and Comedy Central are seeking to perpetrate a fraud on the
panelists who seek to sincerely debate the hot topics of the day, and instead
are targeting conservatives for comic ridicule without letting them in on the
joke.
Considering
the moral and ethical lapses of VIACOM during the course of the last year:
The Reagans television movie debacle
60 Minutes paying for the Michael Jackson
interview
60 Minutes stacking their program with
anti-Bush authors who coincidentally get published by another VIACOM company,
Simon and Schuster,
Keeping Howard Stern on the air without
limits on his content
The Janet Jackson Super Bowl wardrobe
malfunction
And
with 20/20 hindsight, it shouldnt surprise any of us, that this is the type of
show they would choose to green light and produce.
But
this move, this show, this attempt at ridicule by deception, really takes the
cake for arrogance, hubris, ethical depravity and is the ultimate cheap
shot. It should be evident to all at
this point - that there is nothing VIACOM that wont do to advance their agenda
of Liberal activism, conservative targeting, and the unseating of President
Bush this November.
Weve
written extensively at Hollywood-Hero about the war against the president
emanating from Hollywood its been a full court press of activism from the
actors, the producers, and the writers, who insert negative comments about the
president or conservatives at every possible turn.
Three
negative films about President Bush are coming out this summer with the most
egregious being the documentary from Michael Moore, Fahrenheit 911 which
just one the big award at Cannes, the French film festival - the French and
Hollywood awarding this piece of fiction under the guise of a documentary, what
a surprise. These are the same people
who gave him an Oscar last year for Bowling for Columbine his anti-gun
activist love letter that has been lambasted for its inaccuracies. But we digress.
All
of
The
Hollywood Left is apparently so angry, so hateful and so committed to foisting
their political views on the American public, that they are ignoring these
people in America
the people who spent $360 million on The
Passion of the Christ
the people who just spent $109 million in 5
days to go see Shrek 2
the people who are turning away from network
news in droves to the Fox News Channel
and the parents who are locking out more
channels than they let into their house
If
the networks and film studios dont care about their bottom line, you can bet
the advertisers do. The mothers milk of
all the media is where we can make our voices heard.
VIACOM,
MTV, and all other media conglomerates expect the 20 some-things will keep them
afloat and profitable but the advertisers know where the money is and who
does the spending Lets see whos right.
Parents
of America its time we fight back against the people who aim to lower us all
to their common denominator, to the continuing moral decay of our children, and
to the brain washing of a public all for the blessed buck and a political
agenda far outside the mainstream of the American public they attempt to serve.
Were
grateful we found out about this debacle before making the trip to the LEFT coast and Hollywood-Hero
is sending the message to VIACOM and
P.S. - For those in the Hollywood community who
dont walk in lockstep with the majority of political thought in
This
is no time to be quiet conservatives used to be black-balled in
